All reports are leading to Swindon Town manager David Flitcroft leaving his post at the County Ground and heading into Mansfield to clean up the mess left behind by those two who will no longer name.

Mansfield Town have confirmed that they will be naming a new manager on Thursday morning, but two reliable sources in the BBC and Sky Sports News have indicated this will be David Flitcroft, who has led Swindon Town to 7th in League 2.

Flitcroft took Bury out of this division in 2015 so knows what he is doing, he also plays football the right way, not like what we have been served up in the past 18 months or so.

He has won 18 of 35 league games at the County ground.

His Swindon Town side, has also done the double over the Stags, this season, and whilst at Bury, his side destroyed us at the One Call.

If the sources are correct, and we would imagine so, it’s a good shout as manager.
