Lampard to Visit One Call

Renowned footballer Frank Lampard will get a rude awakening to football management when he walks onto the hallowed turf at the One Call in July, when he brings his Derby County team to face our little league 2 side.

Having seen Gary Rowett leave them at the end of the Championship campaign, when Derby stank out the play offs, losing deservedly to free-flowing Fulham, Derby went down the road of employing a ‘name’ in the game, and put all their eggs in getting Frank Lampard to take up his first managerial role in football.

Now, although he would have had little to do with arranging it, Lampard is bringing his Derby side to face the Stags on Wednesday 18th July, in a friendly game that will open his eyes to all that lower league football has to offer.

Disappointingly, Notts County will get first dibs on Lampard, when he goes to Meadow Lane the Saturday before coming to Mansfield for the Rams first pre-season of the summer.

The game with the Stags will kick off at 7:30 with tickets now on general sale for £10 for an adult one.
