Mansfield Town have continued their summer signing spree with two more additions….
Left footed defender/midfielder Johnny Hunt, 26 has joined following his release from Non League Chester City.
Previously playing for Cambridge United and Wrexham, Hunt will provide competition for places with full back Mel Benning, and also on the left side of the Stags midfield.
He was joined on another busy day at the One Call, by Scunthorpe United defender David Mirfin.
Now 32, the ever present centre half for the Iron’s, left Glanford Park at the end of the 2016-17 season.
He played a big part in Scunthorpe being promoted to the Championship in 2008/09 before eventually moving onto Watford in a 2 year deal.
However, he moved back to Glanford Park for a further spell, before deciding on moving to the One Call for what we hope will be more glory and promotions.
The moves, took the number of summer signings at Mansfield, to 10 and who is say that Steve Evans is finished yet?
