Mansfield’s League 2 season gets underway against Carlisle at the One Call Stadium on Saturday to kick-off the 2015/16 season; which will of course see expectations high under Adam Murray that he can lead us to something better in his first full season in management.
It’ll be a new look Stags side under Murray this season as he’s dipped into the transfer market several times bringing in no fewer than 13 players.
Among those coming in is Matt Green, who is back for his second spell, with a second debut expected along with the likes of Craig Westcarr and Chris Beardsley.
Murray will be without Matty Blair and Luke Jones (both knee) who have been out long-term with serious setbacks.
The boss will be happy as long as we come away from ‘this arena’ with the Cumbrians knowing ‘they’ve been in a game.’
Carlisle boss Keith Curle has signed 11 players himself this summer too with Angelo Balanta, Joe Thompson, Kevin Osei, Alex McQueen and David Atkinson among those set to make their debuts for the Cumbrians.
