Mansfield Town have shifted some 4,100 tickets for the local derby with Notts County on Saturday.

It is an amazing feat, considering the number is a lot higher than some of the home attendances this season.

It is also higher than the number of home supports (3887) which came through the door for the 1-1 draw with Colchester United last weekend.

With all the allocated tickets now sold for the away end at Meadow Lane, it remains to be seen if any more will be made available.

Notts County owner Alan Hardy hinted on Twitter yesterday that 500 more could be sent over, but Stags director Steve Hymas hinted today that this would be subject to police advice.

Whatever happens, Saturday will see the biggest local derby crowd for many a year, as 3rd goes up against 5th in the League 2 table, with so much at stake.

Trains are expected to be extremely busy all day, from very early on due to the 1pm kickoff.
