Mansfield had to settle for another draw on Tuesday night, but given our injury issues away from home this would have been accepted and a point that we’ll be happier with than our Prenton Park hosts Tranmere Rovers after the 0-0 draw.

Tranmere’s debutant Armand Gnanduillet went close to connecting to giving them the lead with Tranmere ‘keeper Owain Fon Williams alert to snuff danger after a poor Marcus Holness back pass.

Danny Johnson’s freekick, that went over, was as close as we came in the first half. Well in the game really!

Jake Kirby came closest to breaking through, Marc Laird’s chip through gave him the chance but Sascha Studer kept the effort out with that as close as either side came.
