Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale admitted his side were ‘not at their best’ as they lost ground in the promotion rush in League 2.

A Danny Rose effort on 38 minutes, was enough for Mansfield to head into 4th spot in League 2, but also stopped the Grecians from pushing themselves into the play off berths.

A win for the home side, would have put them just a point behind the Stags and crucially with two games in hand.

As it stands, they now are now 2 points behind our reserve side at Sincil Bank, still with those couple of games in hand.

Tisdale was very complimentary ahead of the game, saying the Stags would be up there come the end of the season, however he was disappointed with his own sides efforts in the defeat to their rivals for promotion.
