Mansfield Town fans hoping to run coaches to the clubs first Wembley outing in 24 years, are being hit by greedy coach operators exploiting the demand….

Normally a hired coach to London would cost anything between £400-500, but some Mansfield Town supporters have been quoted up to three times as much for their big day out Wembley on May 7th, and the FA Trophy final with Darlington.

It is sheer greed on the part of coach operators in the area, and shows they aren`t far behind the seedy banking sector when it comes to lining their own pockets at the expense of those less well off.

One Mansfield Fan who contacted us to highlight the problem said “all I want to do is travel together with my mates from our local boozer, and now I am having to charge everyone at least £20 for a decent day out, at least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask!”

Train companies aren`t much forgiving either, with those quick enough to book getting the best deals, and many more now facing return fares of over £50 for Mansfield`s biggest day out in the capital since 1987.
