An article on Lincolnshire LIVE , has reported that a male Mansfield Town steward was alleged to have patted down a female supporter from Lincoln City.

The incident is said to have taken place ahead of the Check-a-Trade clash on Tuesday at the One Call, which the visitors went onto win 3-1.

The alleged incident came to light the article reports, when the girl’s, (with the article stating she is 16) father angrily spoke out after the game on social media.

A spokesman for the football club was said to have commented: ‘Mansfield Town Football Club takes such complaints very seriously.

‘The club has already begun the process in establishing the details of the complaint.’

Stewarding at the One Call, has long been the subject of much comment, and the club has recently moved away from Pro-Touch security and onto a new firm of stewards but this latest incident will not do much for public relations with the current stewarding set up.
