Mansfield Town released their ‘retained’ list this week, and there was one or two surprises, most notably defender Rhys Bennett would be on his way…..
It wasn’t a list to shock, but the release of the consistent Bennett took many by surprise, especially given injury prone David Mirfin was being kept on the books.
Whilst Mirfin is under contract for a further year, can the club take the chance he won’t return from his long-standing injury?
