Mansfield Town manager Duncan Russell will walk out proudly at Wembley Stadium, becoming the first Stags manager to lead the team out on the hallowed turf in 24 years.

Despite some supporters still be divided on the appointment of Russell, who is in the hot seat until the end of the season, it is a terrific achievement to lead Mansfield to the home of English football.

They will play Darlington in the FA Trophy final on May 7th, following an amazing semi final with Luton Town.

‘To walk my team out at Wembley will be unbelievable,’ Russell told BBC Sport. ‘I’m very proud I will wait for May 7th and will thoroughly enjoy it.’

Amazingly it could be Russell`s final game in charge of the Stags, should owner John Radford decide not to offer David Holdsworth`s former assistant an extension to his short contract.

What better way of pitching for a longer contract than a Wembley win?
