Mansfield should be safe for another season in League 2 but we could virtually make sure of this with a win over relegation threatened York today.

An eight-point cushion is what we take into the game at the One Call Stadium, whereas our visitors are just a point from safety – should they go away with the win though things get a little too close for comfort again, if we win then we move towards midtable safety.

Junior Brown (suspension) begins his four-match ban following his straight red card in our defeat at Hartlepool last Saturday. Reggie Lambe (international duty) is also out as he’s away with Bermuda.

A playing return in the reserves has seen Liam Hearn move closer to his return, but it isn’t going to come today.

York have new loanee arrivals from Coventry and Bournemouth, respectively, Shaun Miller and Josh O’Hanlon available. Emile Sinclair (thigh) is doubtful though but Michael Coulson (abdomen) and Stephane Zubar should both return.

Can we move a step closer to safety, a win would all but secure this wouldn’t it?
