Mansfield Town look for a third straight win, and to extend their unbeaten run to four games on Tuesday as they welcome Chester City to Field Mill.

Vital Quotes:

Stags Assistant Boss Paul Holland told CHAD,

“We were looking a bit tired and leggy in he last 10 minutes on Saturday but we do not have the size of squad to change things round.”

He added: “After we let ourselves down against Grimsby the performances have been good.

Billy has really settled things down here since he came in and the fear factor seems to have gone out of our game.”

Mansfield Town Team News:

Mansfield welcome back striker Martin Gritton for Tuesday’s game, after the loanee was refused permission by Lincoln to play against them during the 2-1 victory on Saturday. Simon Brown is the man left waiting to see if he will keep his place, after an accomplished performance in Saturday’s game.

Matthew Hamshaw pleasantly returned to action Saturday after his troubles, as a second half substitute and is back in contention also. However, manager Billy Dearden is leaving the decision totally with the Ex-Stockport midfielder.

There are no serious new injury concerns for Mansfield, Giles Coke is still out for the season after his operation, but there are a few niggling doubts in the home camp.

Jake Buxton, Johnny Mullins and Stephen Dawson are all hopeful of shaking off minor knocks ahead of tomorrow’s clash.

Player to watch: Alex John-Baptiste

Alex John-Baptiste has been in good form of late, providing solidity at the back.

Hhowever, Nathan Arnold was impressive and VitalFootball’s Man-of-the-Match at Sincil Bank on Saturday, he has the pace and trickery to worry defenders.

Chester City Team News:

Ex-Mansfield centre-back Dave Artell is a doubt for the visitors after being taken off injured against Torquay on Friday night.

Top-striker Simon Yeo is also ruled out with ankle-ligament damage. This could give a chance for front-man for Chris Holroyd, especially if Lee Steele fails a late fitness test.

Player to watch: Laurence Wilson

Laurence Wilson. The Ex-Mansfield loanee from last season returns to the Mill for the first time. Brought on as an early replacement for the injured and also ex-Stag Dave Artell on Friday, he provided a threat down the left-hand side which most Mansfield fans will already be aware of.
