Mansfield Town have today brought in striker Vadaine Oliver on an emergency one month loan deal from Crewe Alexandra.

Manager Paul Cox moved quickly to secure the signing of the player following news that Alex Fisher could now be out for up to four weeks following a shoulder dislocation that he picked up in the scoreless draw with Tranmere Rovers in midweek.

Oliver began his career at Sheffield Wednesday and signed his first two year professional deal with them. He moved onto Lincoln City in 2012 following his release and he scored 14 goals in 41 matches for them, and his overall performances attracted a fair bit of attention and he moved onto Crewe in the summer of 2013 for an undisclosed fee.

He has been handed the No 25 shirt and is available to potentially make his debut in our game against York City tomorrow.
