The chance to move ourselves towards League 2 safety was missed on Saturday when Mansfield were well and truly beaten four-one by relegation rivals York, who moved themselves three-points clear of the bottom two.

York got off to a flying start as Lowe (9) headed the visitors into the lead within 10-minutes, with the game all but over with less than 20-minutes played when Spurs loanee Coulthirst (17) doubled the lead.

When York ‘keeper Olejnik saw red for handling outside of the box the visitors went down to 10-men but that didn’t mater with Hyde (52) heading in the third just after the break.

Rhead’s (77) goal, with time running out, wasn’t anything but a consolation but even then York had the last say when Coulthirst (89) added his second, and York’s fourth, in the last minute.
