Adam Murray was on course to start his spell as the permanent Mansfield boss with a win against Cheltenham, but had to be content with a point in the end.

With just three-minutes to play Cheltenham denied the new boss, and us, all three points at the One Call Stadium when the grabbed a one-one draw.

The first half was controlled by us in the main, although we couldn’t create too many clear-cut chances with the visitors twice going close to scoring with Gornell just wide and Ferdinand denied by Evtimov with the follow up cleared off the line by Waterfall.

Evtimov had to be on his guard again in injury-time as he denied Ferdinand again.

The breakthrough came early in the second half when a stunning Oliver (55) half volley from fully 30-yards beat Cheltenham ‘keeper Benson to make it one-nil.

When Evtimov saved again, to keep out a Richards freekick, it looked like we would see the win through but Kotwica (87) snatched Cheltenham a one-one draw three-minutes from time.
