Former Mansfield Town favourite Liam Lawrence has told his current boss, Tony Pulis, that he want’s a move to Parkhead and join his boyhood team, Celtic.

Repulic of Ireland star Lawrence is keen to move away from Stoke City, where he made just 14 appearances in the Premier League last season.

Celtic are rumoured to be offering around £1.5 million for the right winger.

“It`s a massive club, it doesn`t need selling for me,” Lawrence has said.

“If I get the chance to go and the clubs agree a fee, I`ll walk up there. I want to come that bad.’

Lawrence was a fans favourite during his time at Field Mill, and has often been seen around the town during his spells with Sunderland and Stoke.
