Well that ended our run didn’t it! Mansfield went to Oxford in good spirits but Saturday will be a day we’ll be looking to quickly forget after suffering a three-nil defeat at the Kassam Stadium.

New loanee from Brighton, Monakana, had an early chance but that was as good as it got for us with his finish far from pretty.

When Newport loanee ‘keeper Pidgeley couldn’t gather a Baldock cross MacDonald (31) was on hand to give Oxford a lead, which was almost doubled soon after. That man, MacDonald (54), was in the right place again early in the second half to double the lead.

Just past the hour Tafazolli’s foul on Hoban gave Oxford a penalty, Hylton (63) made no mistake to wrap up the three-nil win.

Following this game, as is customary of course, attention now turns to the MotM for us – who you think this was?

Select the name that you want from the list in the poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking for that person, and this latest game itself, with some views….
