His deal from Notts County runs out at the end of April, following the last league game at Bath City, but despite appeals from the Stags and his club County, the FA are not allowing Grof to stay on for the 7th May Trophy Final.

Stags boss Duncan Russell said: “It is devastating for him as he has been outstanding for us.’

You would have thought even the FA had an ounce of sentiment, but then again….
