Having managed Stags striker Danny Rose twice so for, Swindon Town boss Danny Flitcroft is one man who knows how lethal the forward can be.

Rose was the winning scoring hero in the recent away local derby at Lincoln City, before completing a stunning week with the winner against Cambridge United at the One Call just a few days later.

Now, Flitcroft, who took Rose to Bury after managing the striker at Barnsley knows what a threat his ex-man can be.

He told the Swindon Advertisor ahead of the league 2 clash at the One Call today ‘I had a fantastic relationship with Danny Rose. I brought him from Barnsley to Bury and then we sold him to Mansfield.’

The Swindon boss went on “With Danny, we were always just waiting for him to become a stature in the game and score goals and important goals. He is doing that this season.’

Reflecting on what Stags supporters have known for some time, he concluded “He plays with an energy and an octane so chances will comes to him. He is very infectious as a player and very infectious as a person.”
