Mansfield Town manager Steve Evans has started the mind games ahead of the Stags clash with Lincoln City this coming weekend.

Evans has said this week that he was impressed that Michael Bostwick cost the Imps £300,000 from League 1 Peterborough Utd.

It is a claim rubbished by Imps boss Danny Cowley.

And it was the response by Cowley that made Evans push a little further telling the Mansfield CHAD “I see I`ve been criticised for saying how Michael Bostwick cost.’

“There are some counter-claims saying it was a third of that. Do me a favour – don`t speak any more!’

Now, Evans might have been surprised that Bostwick had no Mansfield connections, such is the conveyor that seems to run all the way from the One Call, down the A617 and into Sincil Bank.

With the Stags in 10th place currently, and their hosts lumping their way up to the play off spots, the game has begun ahead of the on field antics on Saturday.
