Mansfield Town manager Steve Evans was non too happy with the away supporters reaction to the 2-0 loss to Colchester United on the road.

With over 300 Stags supporters making the journey and being disapointed at the result, as the players made their way to applaud the traveling faithful, they were met with a verse of ‘what a load of rubbish’.

It left Evans, who was the subject of an approach from Gillingham this week, to tell the Nottingham Post ‘I’ve watched my players at the end of the game go to the supporters and get told they’re a load of rubbish’

Despite previously managing the expectations of Leeds United, Evans surprisingly went onto say ‘I’ve never experienced that’

It has led to some Mansfield Town supporters on social media to split between supporting Evans’s stance against the reaction, or asking if it;s the start of the backlash against him.
