Manager Paul Cox has said he was left deeply unhappy following our two nil loss to Dagenham and Redbridge yesterday.

A clearly unhappy Cox told the Official Site that simply put he didn’t feel we ever got going in the game, and at full time there had been a ‘good chat’ in the dressing room to try and address that as ultimately he needs to find out the cause of our non show to make sure it never happens again.

‘We just didn’t arrive at the party. In all three sections, defence, midfield and attack, we were a million miles off the pace. No one is going to feel sorry for us, it was lacklustre.’

The gaffer goes on to say that we probably passed the ball around the back four more than we managed to pass it anywhere else on the pitch and clearly that isn’t effective and be of any use when we are trying to get back into a game.

‘We can talk about all the different facets of the game, but I just thought with the ball we weren’t good enough, and without the ball we weren’t good either.’

In the positive news from the match, the manager could at least acknowledge we had picked up no fresh injury concerns or knocks and niggles outside of our ‘injured pride’ on the day.
