The one-one draw at Cheltenham definitely did Mansfield more good than it did our hosts, particularly as they were ahead and – as much as we need the points – are in more desperate need of them to stay in the Football League.

Mansfield’s ‘Kee to success’ was Kee, who came off the bench to earn us a point in the one-one draw at Whaddon Road, which was enough to take Cheltenham out of the bottom two and even though we increased the gap between ourselves and the bottom two in League 2 in points terms we did drop a couple of places….

In a goalless first half we had gone close with Brown heading against the bar and Clements also hit the post! We had loanee ‘keeper Pidgeley to thank for keeping out Brown.

But it was Burns (47) who put Cheltenham into the lead when he finished off from a Manset flick on – we rescued a point when our Scunthorpe loanee Kee (68) came off the bench to finish off a Lambe cross to earn a point.

Adam Murray told the BBC he felt that this was a point that we deserved as we were able ‘grind out’ this result, which is potentially a ‘massive point’ for us but until we’re definitely assured of our Football League survival he’ll not be relaxing too much!

‘On the balance of things, it’s a massive point for us. We’ve ground out another result and I think it was a fair point for both teams.

‘I’m unwilling to say anything on turning corners, because the season has been so up and down. We’ve improved, but there’s still a lot of work to do and we want to put more points on the board.

‘If we’re in the Football League at the end of the season, then I will relax.’
