Mansfield Town’s first home friendly of the season could see a bumper crowd, with the possibility of Sheffield Wednesday bringing a huge following.

The game, which will see the new look Stags take on one of the Championship big guns, on Saturday 15th July (3pm KO), is already gaining a lot of interest.

Wednesday’s 1,541 allocation for the North Stand has already sold out in just one day, with no tickets available for general sale.

On this weeks first public video with Manager Steve Evans, tucked away as he praised the players for the condition they returned from the close season in, he did say that ‘Wednesday were asking for more tickets’ and that the ‘Mansfield public were buying lots as well’.

It remains to be seen if the club will offer our visitors any more allocation, but with the Quarry Lane advertised as ‘closed’ for the game, maybe it would make sense and boost the coffers ahead of what is going to be an exciting season.

Mansfield Town fans can still buy tickets for the game, priced at £10 for Adults, or pay on the day for a £2 surcharge.
