As if the injury problems weren’t bad enough for Mansfield before the Tranmere Rovers draw, we picked up more from this and not just a point!

Forward Alex Fisher now faces ‘four to six-weeks’ on the sidelines after dislocating his should in the nil-nil draw at Prenton Park on Tuesday night, so the 24-year-old joins the growing list of forwards missing already.

Also forced off, with a knee problem, was defender Kieron Freeman so another defender could be added to this list.

We could now, for the trip to York City at the weekend, be without as many as nine first-team players!

It is hoped, not that the support can be questioned, that the chairman can dig deep once more to finance another loan arrival, but if this isn’t possible no fingers will be pointed in that direction.
